Google’s Chromecast already supports Google Play Music, Pandora, Netflix and some other subscription services, but it never supported Spotify. Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services, which has not been included to the list of Chromecast.

According to the reports, the company is going to bring Spotify support to the Chromecast. It is rumored that the big announcement is going to be made at the big event of Google on September 29th. Rumors also suggests that Google plans to launch two new nexus smartphones and second generation Chromecast at the event held later this month.

One can stream music on Chromecast from Google Play Music, Plex, Pandora and Rdio, but Spotify didn’t support Chromecast until now. This new announcement about the inclusion of the largest streaming music service to Chromecast makes the device more useful for home. This new move clearly shows that Google trying to offer more contents through the platform. This service is also going to be more meaningful, as the new Chromecast Audio allows you to connect the device through the speakers with auxiliary cord in multiple rooms. This is a really good news for the Chromecast users. We’ll tell more about it once we get the official specification on September 29th.
