How to Bypass Start Screen in Windows 8.1 OS?

Windows 8.comes with its new Start Screen, but if you don’t like that and want to bypass Start Screen.  But Windows 8.1 comes with a new change- The Microsoft has put a new option in Windows 8.1 to bypass Start Screen and direct boot to user Desktop. If in the case the user has enabled the new settings, then he will go directly from boot screen with bypass the Start Screen and goes directly to the desktop of the Windows 8.1.

Here are steps which are helping you to bypass Start Screen in Windows 8.1 OS

1. First of all you have Right-click on Taskbar and select Properties option.

2. It will open  the Taskbar and Navigation properties window.

3. Now you have to go to the “Navigation” tab and enable “Go to the desktop instead of Start when I sign in” option present in “Start screen” section.



4. Apply the changes and now whenever you’ll login to Windows 8.1, Start Screen will not be shown and you’ll direct go to  the Desktop.

Note : If you want to make these changes using Registry Editor, then you check out following  steps –

1:  First of all you have to Type regedit in RUN dialog box(for this press Windows Button + R) and  then press Enter. It will open Registry Editor.



2: Now you will need to go to the correct Registry key containing values associated with options present in Navigation tab of Taskbar properties.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\EdgeUi
