It’s raining money for the Hyperlocal Startups recently in India. After a number of Startups receiving various rounds and amounts of funding from various Angel as well as institutional investors, BookMeIn is the latest addition to the list.
BookMeIn, started in 2014 by a group of 4 (Siddharth Dalal, Elta Dalal, Nidhi Chandel & Chaitanya Chandel) provides hyperlocal services in 4 categories and 26 sub categories in various localities across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane. The categories include Health & Wellness, Beauty & Fitness, Home & Work and Spirit & Healing. The Startup plans to add over 15 more categories in the coming month.
Users of BookMeIn can book local Salons, Physiotherapist, Restaurants etc in nearby locations using the web and mobile platform. The Angel funding round, which amounted for $370K was solely headed by Ajmera Group of Companies.
Talking to the media, Siddharth Dalal, Co-Founder BookMeIn said that the main focus after this funding will be on the user acquisitions and technology development.
As I stated in the first line, there are quiet a few news coming out from this sector, the Hyperlocal market valuation in India stands at over $100 Billion currently and there are quite a few names trying to make a mark.
