Bombay Shirt Company, Mumbai based online shirt retailer, which provides custom made shirts to the users, has raised $1 Million in a bridge round from existing investor, Patni Group and another undisclosed investor.
The company was launched in May 2012 by Akshay Narvekar. It is an online platform which lets users customize their shirts based on various fabric and colors available. The company maintains a portfolio of design to enable the users to choose from them. At the same time, it allows the users to even upload their own design and get that made by the company.
Talking on the investment, Akshay Narvekar, Founder stated that the raised funding will be used to expand to other cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. Also, it plans to hire for some key positions in tech segment of the company.
Just when this news came in, BSC also announced the appointment of Ankit Vora as the VP of Finance and Business Development. Previously, he was working with Parallel49 equity in United States.
Prior to this, the company had raised an undisclosed amount in funding from the Patni Brothers in 2014.
