Following plethora of leaks and rumors, Canadian tech manufacturer BlackBerry as assured announced a luxury smartphone dubbed BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 on Wednesday. This smartphone is the successor to the Porsche Design P’9982 that was launched last year.
In terms of technical specifications, the BlackBerry smartphone arrive with a 3.1 inch 720×720 touch screen display. The imaging requirements of the users are handled by an 8 MP rear camera that is accompanied with a 2 MP front-facing camera. It bundled an ample 64 GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded further via a microSD card slot.
The BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 is powered by the dated Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset that houses a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, Adreno 225 graphics unit and 2 GB of RAM. Powering life to the device is a 2,100 mAh battery that will keep everything alive. The handset runs on BlackBerry OS 10.3 and belonging to the Porsche lineup, it undoubtedly has a great design and premium finish. The camera lens is made using sapphire glass, while the Porsche Design logo and chassis are built with forged stainless steel. The back panel features a special glass weave technology adding to the premium finish.
The Porsche Design P’9983 smartphone will get exclusive accessories such as back covers made of fine Italian leather in numerous colors. The device will become available by early October at Porsche Design stores as well as select carriers and retailers across the world. However, the pricing of the handset has not been revealed and we do not expect it to be affordable.
