Blackberry Passport set to launch this Wednesday at just $599

Finally we have got some official news regarding the Blackberry Passport after tons of rumors, according to the new BlackBerry is finally set to make the Passport official this Wednesday, on Sept 24. Also, since after the launch of this, the device will go on sale in different regions, however, they haven’t mentioned clearly anything about the region going to get this passport.

But its not bad to expect countries like UK, Canada, and the UAE will be the first to get the device because the event is going to take place in London, Toronto, and Dubai.

According to BlackBerry CEO John Chen, within two weeks after Wednesday’s launch “a lot of places will have” the Passport, including (unnamed) markets in Asia.

Also they revealed that the price and other specs, the unlocked and SIM-free Blackberry Passport get the price tag of $599 in US, wait for 24th Sept. to get more details on prices for different regions. If we talk about the price tag which the device has got it comparatively less to other’s high end smartphones.

In terms of specifications, Passports has been finned with best of Blackberry, features 4.5 inch fully touch screen with a square resolution of 1440×1440, at the back there is one 13 MP camera with LED flash and a 2 MP as a front facing shooter. BB Passport is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with a 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU, coupled 3GB of RAM and offers 32GB of expandable built-in storage via micro SD card.

Blackberry CEO claims that the Passport having 36 hrs of battery backup with normal usage as it packs a 3450 mAh battery on board. Passport supports 4G LTE and supposed to come with latest Blackberry OS 10.3.
