Blackberry OS starts rolling out in Germany

Although, most people are expecting to get their hands on forthcoming BlackBerry OS 10.3, the often reported BlackBerry OS 10.2.2 (or more particularly OS v10.2.2.1531,, software release v10.2.2.932) has now started rolling out to devices in Germany and surrounding regions. As of now, there is not complete information or news about the modifications or new features in the OS other than what is noted in the change log that suggests it covers security improvements for some Enterprise users with specific requirements.

This updated release provides security improvements for some Enterprise owners with distinct requirements. For users that have not already upgraded their smartphones to 10.2.1 software, here are the new features that will be included:

  • Enhancements to Bluetooth, Media and Browser amongst other enhancements
  • 64GB Support – Earlier, people were limited to 32 GB memory expansion, now can expand it to 64 GB or higher.
  • Applications – Now, there is no limit on the number of applications that can run in the background.

If you are in Germany or its surrounding region, the OS should be available via OTA on few carriers, just go to settings and check for updates.

However,if you are not in Germany and still want to update your device to the latest OS and software version, it is also available through Sachesi and the download link of the latest Blackberry OS for manual installation have been posted in the CrackBerry Forums along with a findings and fixes thread. This OS isn’t supposed to roll out for everyone, so if you are not able to see the OTA notification to get this update then it’s totally up to you if you wish to install it.
