Food service provider, Bite Club raises Pre-series A funding

Bite Club, which is a portal for chef made meals has raised an unspecified amount in Pre-Series A round of funding from growX ventures. The Phoenix Ventures via Enablers and the existing investors Powai Lake Ventures have also invested in this round of funding.

Bite Club is a Gurgaon based startup that connects chef and consumers, was founded by Prateek Agarwal, Aushim Krishan, and Siddharth Sharma in 2014. The company allows its customers to order food from its menu that changes on daily basis via its mobile and web app. Meals are prepared by the curated community of professional chefs, home chefs and amateur chefs.

The company has already served more than 100,000 meals since its inception and currently it is serving almost 1,000 meals per day. The company will use its fund to expand its service area in Delhi NCR region and introduce more food categories.

The food delivery portal has mix of options in gourmet and comfort food across Indian and world cuisine. The price of the food is also affordable and its price range varies from Rs. 100 to 300. Bite Club is following the footsteps of restaurants and tiffin service. Currently, it is on an expansion spree in Delhi NCR region.

Earlier this year, BiteClub had raised an angel round from Powai Lake Ventures with participation from angels including Aneesh Reddy (Capillary Technologies), Ashish Kashyap (Goibibo Group) and Alok Mittal (Canaan Partners).
