BBM Android app update fixes ‘Temporary server error’ bug

BlackBerry after seeing the failure of its smartphones, it is mainly focusing on the apps and other services. Out of all BlackBerry services BBM is the most popular one and BlackBerry is keen on its maintenance and it will be keep updating the app regularly with performance improvements and bug fixes. Today BlackBerry has released an updated to the BlackBerry Messenger app for Android and this updated has brought the app to the version 4.2.

This new updated has fixed the “Temporary server error” bug which is encountered by the very small number of BBM users. BlackBerry on its blog stated that,



[quote]We’ve discovered the bug displaying “Temporary Server error” which has been encountered by very small percentage of users. Our team has worked on this issue and today an update (v2.4.0.9) was released in Google Play Store. User who are facing the temp server error  and the retry button doesn’t resolve the issue, then they need to uninstall the current version and re-install the app from Google Play founded here. All your BBM contacts and groups will be restored when you log in using your BBID account. For the small number of users this impacts we offer our apologies for the inconvenience. [/quote]
