A Gurgaon Based Two-Wheeler taxi service named “Baxi” has raised $1.5 Million in seed round of funding. This is highest amount of fund raised by a startup in this phase in recent times. The Baxi taxi service will be launched on December 1st in Gurgaon.
The company had already received all the necessary permits from Haryana Government. Initially, the startup will offer Two-Wheeler taxi service in Gurgaon, but will roll out two-wheeler taxi service in some other cities like Bahadurgarh, Faridabad and Sonepat.
Ashutosh Johri and Manu Rana have started Baxi, which will offer last-mile connectivity to important places like schools, colleges, office and residential areas from Metro and Bus stations at an affordable price. Customers can directly take Baxi service from Government stands. They can also call for Two-wheeler taxi service from their place anywhere in city by using its Android Mobile app.
The company will take some very important steps for the health and hygiene purpose of its customers. Baxi will offer a hair net for all its passengers, so that they can protect their hair while wearing helmet. All the bikes used by Baki are covered with insurance policy for accidents that also covers its passengers. Cuuently, the company is setting up in-house Emergency response team, but it will also partner with some hospitals across the city.
The startup will provide all the details of its riders to the RTA and they will also be getting police verification and ID cards. The company will also give training to its two-wheeler rider for defensive driving, soft skills and customers handling. It will also use technology to monitor all the riders on different parameters like speed, safety and locations.
The startup is planning to have more than 500 Baxis in next three months in Gurgaon. The company will also expand its service to some other states. The Two-Wheeler taxi is helpful in many situations, like it can save your time, it is good for 3 to 10 Km distance travelling, etc.
