Chinese technology Company Baidu has launched its own Artificial Intelligence digital assistant for Android smartphones. Baidu is going to take on Google’s Google Now, Microsoft’s Cortana and Apple’s Siri with its latest voice assistant service.

The Chinese tech giant has unveiled its virtual assistant programmed named “Duer” at the Baidu World conference on Tuesday. Duer roughly means “Du Secretary”. This voice control program is developed into the Baidu Android search app.

Initially this Duer digital assistant program will allow Chinese users to order food and access some other services via voice control. The company is also planning to control some smart devices in your home through voice control with this program. This program will also let you access some other on-demand services.

The Chinese company is also planning to integrate this app in some other apps like Maps and some buying services. Baidu also shows that this Artificial Intelligence digital assistant service recognizes images more accurately than humans, Cortona and Google Now.

There are also rumors that the company is working on a self driving car in association with BMW and going to release it by the end of the year. The automated car will use its AI program for mapping and learning technology.
