After the months of hints and mystery, Apple has finally launched its first wearable and joined the battle of smartwatches. In the recently concluded IFA, 2014 many of the manufacturers released their smartwatches running on Android Wear and Tizen platforms. Motorola Moto 360 is the most popular Smartwatch running on Android Wear platform. Here is the detailed comparison of Moto 360 and Apple Watch.

Design and Build quality


Everyone expect build quality from Apple let it be Smartphone or anything with light, strong and slim too. Apple Watch is not so slim as iPhone 6 and not different from other smartwatches in the market. But Apple has taken some care to avoid it looking bulky and its dial looks less noticeable in real life than it does in the promo shots. It sports the small dial compared to dials on most men’s watches, but very easy to access. It has a great piece of design and allow you to move the things on the screen without covering them with the fingers.

Coming to the Motorola’s Moto 360, it proved that wearables can be stylish as Android Wear is functional. Moto 360’s circular design gives it the look of classic wristwatch and offers comfortable fit, and get the information conveniently to your wrist. Moto 360 is made of the stainless steel and renowned Horween leather strap and it’s Corning Gorilla Glass helps in preventing scratches.

Apple Watches expected to come in two different variants with screen sizes 1.5 and 1.65 inches displays uses the scratch-resistant glass on the display. All the sensors are included on the back of the watch face and it detects the user pulse to track the things like calories burned, distance walked or run, heart monitoring and more.

Moto 360 has the 1.56 inch screen with 320 x 290 pixels resolution protected by the Gorilla Glass 3 with the backlit LCD technology. It is powered by Texas Instrument’s OMAP 3 processor along with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory. It runs on Android Wear platform and compatible with devices running on Android 4.3 or higher.
