Though Apple has not released any solid information on how Apple Watch is faring in the market, it does not stop one from thinking about it. According to a recent report, Apple’s smart wearable is going pretty strong.

The market research firm IDC has reported that 3.6 million smartwatches from Apple Inc. has been shipped in the second quarter of 2015, which puts Apple Watch at the second place after Fitbit. In the same period of time Fitbit has shipped 4.4 million of its wearables, that mkes Apple the second largest smartwatch maker after Fitbit and just 0.8 million units behind Fitbit.

Jitesh Ubrani, the senior research analyst of IDC said, “About two of every three smart wearables shipped this quarter was an Apple Watch,”

According to the report, the top spots of wearable manufacturers are occupied by Fitbit, Apple and Xiaomi. Fitbit ships 4.4 million units, Apple ships 3.6 million units and Xiaomi ships 3.1 million units. Xiaomi is one of the surprise entrant in the list with a third place. IDC says, “Xiaomi made a fairly big splash when it entered the wearables market last year with its Mi Band, its limited distribution channels have been a dampening factor on its growth.”

This report of IDC definitely puts some rumors to rest, as one report has suggested that Apple Watch is failing. However, many other reports states that the 75 percent of the smartwatch market is held by Apple.
