Finally after a long wait, Apple Pay has come to Australia. Now, iPhone, Apple Watches and iPad users from Australia can use their Apple device to pay for their purchase through Apple Pay. Currently this Apple Pay option is only available for American Express card holders.

If you are living in Australia and want to use Apple Pay to pay for your stuff, you have to set up first. You have to enter your credit or debit card details into the Apple Pay apps of your iPhone or Apple Watch. You will be asked for bank verification, once your verification is successful, you can start paying for your stuff through Apple Pay.

When you set up your card to the wallet app from Apple, you can use this wallet app at the checkout counter that accepts American Express. This means that you have to make sure that your shopping center supports AMEX, before you try to pay via Apple Pay.

Though currently, only American Express card holder can use Apple Pay in Australia, the Cupertino based company is trying to tie up with some other banks for its wallet apps. The company is trying to bring more payment provider to its mobile payment service. But this will be a cause of concern for Apple, as the Australian banks are not eager to share profit with Apple Pay.

Finally if you own any iOS device and have American Express card, you can pay for your stuff through Apple Pay in Australia. So, just Enjoy.
