Apple Acquires PRSS Digital Magazine

The tech giant Apple  after launching the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple watch, now acquiring the PRSS Digital Magazine  magazine. The PRSS is a Dutch Digital Magazine startup and launched 1 year ago, the PRSS platform helps  the publishers to create iPad versions of their magazines. The Apple has said that on this acquisition ‘Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.’


ThePRSS is speculated to be used by Apple to improve its iBook Author tool, a service that lets publishers create digital books for the Cupertino firm’s iBook store. Apple has not disclosed the amount that they had to pay on this deal.

On the last month the Apple has completed its deal with Beats, by buying at $ 3 Million dollar. The  Beats is famous for its the high-end audio equipment and streaming music service, a tie-up that could allow the iPhone maker to reach new audiences. The firm was previously rumored to discontinue the Beats streaming music service to focus on iTunes.

Whereas some of the reports is  also claimed  that the Cupertino-based tech firm is near to acquiring social network Path and its apps. But the software giant Apple has said to be considering integrating Path into the company’s messaging or the Apple iMessage service.
