Amazon has disclosed that users of its Android-running Fire TV set top box can download and enjoy more video, thanks to the addition of more media apps, including Disney and MLB.TV, these two are the most highlighted addition as people were waiting for a long time to get these apps.
Customers are loving the selection on their Fire TV, telling us how easy it is to watch their favorite movies and TV shows, listen to music, and play games in their living room. And because of that, developers continue to bring great apps to the platform, with app selection more than doubling since launch,
said Steve Rabuchin, Vice President, Amazon Appstore.
Other new media apps that have been included to Fire TV other than Disney Channel and MLT.TV are, Animal Planet Live, WWE Network and WATCH Disney Jr. Amazon also included that even more media apps will launch soon for Fire TV to get access to more video contents over the internet by the end of 2014, including WATCH ABC Family, WATCH ABC, North Face TV, Fashion TV, Green TV, Outside TV, Young Hollywood, NFL Now, A&E, Lifetime and Dailymotion.
This is the current such announce for Fire TV. Earlier this week, Amazon revealed that the maker of the original Flappy Bird game rolled out with a new title in the series, Flappy Bird Family, that is currently only available to play on Fire TV.
