The Amazon Fire Phone is now officially available for sale. Those who pre-ordered this Smartphone, they already got this phone. It is officially available today from Amazon, and from AT&T online or in stores. This Smartphone is available on Off-contract at a cost $649. You can get it on the AT&T Next for as low as $27 a month, or do a typical two-year plan and pay $199 for the phone up front.
The Amazon Fire Phone, is much similar to the Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets, this amazon phone is an Android-based device which runs on Android 4.4.2, to be precise and running on the Amazon’s custom software. This Smartphone has a 4.7-inch display at 720p resolution and it is empowered by a Snapdragon 800 processor, which is coupled with a 2 GB of RAM. The Amazon Fire Phone has a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, with a 2.1 mega-pixel front-facing camera, and four crazy lenses around the display that we’ll get to in a minute.
It runs the Android apps, but it doesn’t have access to the Google Play Store or any traditional Google services. Instead of the Google service, it offers the Microsoft Bing services. You will be downloading from the Amazon Appstore or download the apk files over the internet. But you won’t be able to use apps you have already bought from the Google Play Store.
This new Smartphone comes with some new and interesting feature, which offered a nice overview for this Amazon Smartphone. The new features are- 3D effect, auto scrolling and much more.
