Amagi Media Labs plans expansion globally. The company facilitates geo targeting advertisement solutions plans for overseas expansion.

Amagi Media is a mix of innovation and media which has brought revolution in a way for new TV media advertising platform. The company offers services that are cost effective, powerful and result oriented. Amagi media is expanding globally by opening offices in the US this month. The company provides business as an infrastructure as a service business where Amagi technology as managed service for TV networks.

The company offers cloud platform as a new product for technology licensing to broadcasters, which enables international TV networks to deliver localised feeds across globe. By geo targeting Amagi can stream advertisements to specific ads targeted at a given region. It gives flexibility to advertisers to increase the value of inventory.


According to Baskar Subramanian “We are going organic right now in the US, but are actively looking at acquisition opportunities as well.”  “Amagi business has seen its growth rated decelerate for the financial year ending 2014, however things have changed now, they are seeing revenues growing around 40 percent after tripling the previous year, the company has not peaked out in terms of growth.” He further added.

Several television networks like Zee Network, Times Network and Network 18 are clients of Amagi and several MNC’s brands like Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), ICICI Bank, Garnier Uninor, Nippon Paint, Glaxo Smith Kline, and Lenskart are few to be named.


Amagi employs around 130 employees was founded in 2008 by KA Srinivasan, Baskar Subramanian and Srividhya Srinivasan. The trio has earlier co founded another technology company Impulsesoft Pvt Ltd. The company was mainly into Bluetooth audio solutions provider. Impulsesoft was later acquired by SiRF, a semiconductor firm based in the US.

The company see TV ad market growth at an estimated 14.5 % in 2015 with projected size of Rs.17, 460 crores and the company expects geo-targeted advertising to be 15% of the total market size. Amagi Media is flush with funds after undisclosed Series ‘C’ funding from Premjiinvest in Jan, 2015.
