Recently AirDroid has launched their apps version 3, a tool that allows Android users to communicate seamlessly with their desktops, laptops, tablets or smartphones. This feature was prevalent in iPhones to communicate with Macs, with the help of an app called Continuity present in iOS 8 and Mac OS X Yosemite.

This update brings new features which allow users to answer phone calls, send files, and respond to texts and much more from your desktop. Another noted feature is the ability to view and interact with your Android’s screen from your window. This feature is called AirMirror, which still in beta stage and works for rooted devices, which allows Android users to control their Android handsets remotely via the desktop application.

AirMirror feature is supported only by rooted devices running on Android 4.0 or higher. It does not support Android 5.0 Lollipop devices. One of the AirMirror best feature, it can display notifications from your phone on your desktop. Notifications can be customized like alert sound and stop it too. Incoming calls alerts will be shown on desktop screen when you connect it to your smartphone. You will be able answer the phone, mute it, reply the SMS.

AirMirror has better notification management which features all the notifications from the Android device in real time, you can turn on the option of ‘Do Not Disturb’ which actually put into silent mode for that individual app. Users will be able to receive SMS and reply thru the desktop itself. There is a facility interact with what’s App messenger too.

AirDroid3 has introduced end to end encryption for all text messages, notifications and account credentials. Highest encryption standards have been adopted to protect user data which is not accessible either to Google, Apple or AirDroid Team, making impossible to access user data.

In AirMirror, users can simply drag and drop files from desktops to their smart phones or vice versa. Files to be transferred by remote connection will be available to download for next seven days, after which it will be deleted from AirDroid server.

Another feature of AirDroid web portal is the place where your Android device on a computer, will interact with your desktop.
