Aircall, the SaaS startup which lets you deploy a business phone system in just a few minutes without installing any software on your servers has raised $2.75 million in a funding round led by Balderton capital, the funding round also saw participation from FundersClub and Business Angels.
Based in France, Aircall increases the efficiency by letting you set up a business call system in just a few minutes. Your customer support or the sales team just needs an app on their computers as well as mobile phones and you are good to go. Loaded with pretty cool features, Aircall lets you record, forward or cascade calls. If the customer support executive is not in the office, he/she can opt to forward the calls to his/her personal mobile phone or they can opt to send the call to the next available executive. Aircall also supports integration with Salesforce, Zendesk, Slack and Pipedrive.
Aircall also takes care of the international customers by providing them a local number to call. For example, if a team is based out of Washington DC, with customers in Berlin, then aircall will generate a German number for you, giving your customers a local number to call. The call will then get forwarded to your call center number in your country.
Aircall claims to have 800 customers at the moment. The clients portfolio includes some big names such as Uber. Aircall is looking to get more prominent brands as customers in the time to come.
With the latest funding round, the company aims to start offices in Paris and San Francisco. Aircall is also working on revamping the technology with a major iOS update around the corner and the Android app going live in a couple of months.
