Adobe has recently created the Creative Cloud preview for Android, which is a file management tool. Creative Cloud is the Adobe’s effort to evolution to the subscription based service model, providing the updates to the Creative Cloud software suite and the online service to aid the collaboration and asset management. It also offers the free CC membership which includes the trial access to the Adobe’s creative tools and also the free 2 GB cloud storage.
Now Adobe introduced the Creative Cloud app for Android which now allows the Android users to access and preview their stored files from the mobile device, even previewing the PSD and AI files as well. For the vector files this app seems to render the preview file, rather than the actual vector artwork. It also unlocks the unspecified new tools in your favorite apps, but the creative cloud app for Android is currently a preview still, which means that all the features are not alive.
Adobe stated that it will provide the updates to the preview “on a regular basis” and also said the app is stable and seems to be working just fine for now. Coming to the design of the app, it is clean and intuitive and its iconography looks like inspired from iOS. It is also worth noting that the users can upload the files from the app itself using its built-in file browser.
Adobe is maintaining the unpredictable relationship with the Android apps and its offerings are powerful and very useful too. But they do not receive updates for months of time.
