Today, most of the people in the world use smartphones. One constant problem for everyone is battery, because, smartphones consumes more battery. We have to charge the device frequently, if you want don’t want to see your phone dead. Some British scientists have a solution for you.

The British researchers have discovered a new type of touchscreen material, which requires very less power to illuminate, with vivid colors and high visibility in direct sunlight. This new kind of touchscreen material will get rid of your daily mobile charging problem. According to the report of, the team of developers is already in talks with some of the electronics company to check if their tech can replace currently available LCD tech.

The new touchscreen material tech is developed by Bodie Technologies, a University of Oxford spin-off company. If this tech is being used in the smartphones, you don’t have to charge your smart device on daily basis. Peiman Hosseini, a team member of the touchscreen material project said to The telegraph, “We can create an entire new market. You have to charge smartwatches every night, which is slowing adoption. But if you had a smartwatch or smart glass that didn’t need much power, you could recharge it just once a week,”

According to the team, the new ultra thin touchscreen material can produce vivid color at very high resolutions, even in bright light or sunlight. The researchers are also hopeful that this new tech can be used in various smart devices like smart glasses, foldable screens etc.
