You can choose your wallpapers from the different categories and you can set the refresh interval and the brightness according to your own. The high quality resolution and animations may consume a bit memory and this app is aimed at the high end devices.

Now Chainfire has released the 500 Firepaper version 2.0 with the lot of improvements and also including the unique functionality of 500px. Chainfire has listed the changes of the new version in its Google+ page instead of Play Store.

Here is the list of changes in the new version.

  • History browser has been improved.
  • Hardware acceleration feature is experimented.
  • Up to seven days of image pinning/caching with the pro version.
  • Some other miscellaneous and bug fixes.

Chainfire is currently working with 500px on the extended caching, this allows to save an image as your background for a week. Now the 500px API only supports 24 hour caching and it might be a problem if you are not connected to the fast internet connection. The cache time limit can be extended to the pro users and you need to spend $3.49 to get the pro upgrade.

The history browser is now easy to success and has been refurbished with swipe navigation and very simple and responsive interface. The  new version has experimented on the hardware acceleration, which makes the home screen little faster when rendering the images.
